Led the end-to-end re-architecture of a complex multi-provider system onto consolidated AWS, re-platforming four core systems in parallel while three legacy systems stayed live in production and the platform never went down.
Shipped an AWS Bedrock (Claude) moderation pipeline that classifies every user submission before publication, embedded in the backend domain layer with fallback logic and audit tracking - replacing a manual review queue.
Redis caching for API queries plus EFS image caching shared across Kubernetes pods, taking repeat reads off the database so the platform scales horizontally through campaign traffic spikes.
Partnered with the Product Owner and VP of Engineering to set technical direction, and grew the delivery team around the rewrite to five.
I lead architecture end to end: gathering requirements with product and executive stakeholders, defining the technical roadmap, and staying hands-on through implementation. At DoSomething - a platform that has mobilised over 8.5 million young people - I directed the full transformation of a fragmented multi-provider stack onto 16 consolidated AWS services, redesigning the data model around Domain-Driven Design and introducing caching and event-driven messaging, all without interrupting the live platform.
I design with Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, microservices and event-driven patterns across a broad AWS surface. I am a Claude Certified Architect (Professional), AWS and Google Cloud certified in Generative AI, and completed MIT Professional Education's Applied Agentic AI for Organizational Transformation in 2026. I have shipped production GenAI systems, including an AWS Bedrock content-moderation pipeline embedded in the backend domain layer with fallback logic and audit tracking.
I lead people as well as architecture - growing and mentoring the engineering team at DoSomething, and partnering directly with Product Owners and VP-level stakeholders to align technical direction with business outcomes.
